The main goal of the Riding with Santa event is to collect new toys for kids in need, giving more people in our Central Florida community a joyful Christmas. On ride day, bring a new toy to donate, your bike, and be prepared to have fun while helping others in the community we love. The toy you bring is of your choosing; we do not ask for a specific toy, and are grateful for whatever catches your eye.
This weekend comes down to three (3) joyful phases:
The Ride- "Riding with Santa": Massive toy collection effort done thru the cycling event. Here is where the party begins since we not only ride, but we also come back to our starting point to enjoy food, music and more...
Toy Organization - "Santa's Workshop": Here we segregate the toys that were donated and assign them to the communities and/or families that we will bring them to.
Toy Drop-Off - "Act of Random Kindness": This is where the magic happens, on Christmas day from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., we deliver the toys. Whether it's a big community gathering or what we call the "door to door" impact. During these deliveries, we don't only deliver a toy, but also a simple message to each child: "We don't ask for anything in return, all we ask is that if you feel a strong sense to help someone, you do so as we are doing with you".
****If you have an interest in participating in the toy organization evening, or toy drop-off, please email Angel at firstname.lastname@example.org***
What's More? The American Diabetes Association of Orlando has once again teamed up for this cause and is helping us in a big way. In appreciation for their support, last year Riding with Santa raised $250.00 which were donated to the A.D.A. to help them continue their mission and vision. We are looking to increase this amount this year, if you are able to help.
So, where do you see yourself riding and how many friends can you bring along?
Don't wait, join us to help others this Christmas season...and have fun while doing it!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
